At a glance
- Points for attending and hosting deployments and trainings, and for approved self-deployments
- Log promotions, demotions and infractions, with the member told and their roles updated
- Link ranks to Discord roles, and import a roster from the roles you already have
- Faction Pulse shows recruiting, attendance and roster growth over time
- See who else is on a dashboard page and what they are editing

Around Vortigern
New10
- Points. Members earn points for attending deployments and trainings (fewer if they turn up late), for hosting them, and for self-deployment time a leader approves. Leaders can add or remove points by hand with a reason, and the roster can be sorted by points.
- Ranks & points. Set how many points each rank needs, and the roster shows who is ready to promote.
- Promotions, demotions and infractions. A new Records page logs each one with a reason — infractions from a verbal warning up to removal from the faction. Each kind can post to its own channel, DM the member and update their Discord roles, and a mistaken record can be voided.
- Link ranks to Discord roles. Pick a role for each rank and Vortigern Factions keeps members' roles in step, with an optional rank tag in their nickname. Sync everyone at once, or import a roster from the Discord roles your members already hold.
- A profile for every member. Open someone on the roster to see their points, records, activity and a leadership note.
- Faction Pulse. An analytics page showing how the faction is recruiting, showing up and holding together over 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, with roster growth and a CSV export.
- Self deployments. Members clock their own time with
/deploy startand/deploy end, finishing with a screenshot. Leaders approve or reject it from Discord or the Deployments page, and approved time earns points. - An image library and banner maker. Upload an image once, name it, and use
{name}in any image field. Nine banner templates — Welcome, Deployment, Training, Raid, Tryouts, Rules, Announcement, Event and Promotion — put your faction's name on a banner and save it to the library. - Card embeds and a formatting toolbar. Embeds can use a card layout with the banner on top and a thumbnail beside the text, and the editor has buttons for headings, bold, italics, spoilers, quotes, lists, code and links.
- See who else is on a page. Dashboard pages show who else has them open and what they are editing, and tell you when someone saves a change, so two people do not overwrite each other.
Improved3
- A faction overview that tells you what needs doing — waiting applications, a switched-off bot, closed recruitment, open appeals and members on leave.
- Bigger rosters. Up to 3,000 members and 100 ranks, and renaming a rank carries its members across.
- Faction changes are in the Audit Logs, with who made each one and when, and faction-only servers get Server Pulse from the faction bot.
Changed2
- Each server type needs its own bot: Faction needs Vortigern Factions, and Site or Community needs Vortigern OS. The faction bot's invite now asks for Manage Roles and Manage Nicknames, for role sync.
/faction,/deployment,/deployand/welcomeonly run in servers set up as a faction.
Privacy1
- A server's data is erased only once neither Vortigern bot is in it — removing Vortigern OS no longer wipes a faction the faction bot still runs. Faction points and records are part of data export and erasure.
